Hey All :)

Is anyone here a member of eNom's Club Drop? I'm curious to know what sort of success it's had..

Cheers,

Chris.

GOOD LUCK finding out information about this. I emailed them repeatedly to give me more information and I got nothing. I even asked about it on here and got few replies if any. All I know is that it costs a lot and I believe they are simply letting you use their RRP connection to snag names faster than anyone else. Someone jump in with some comments.

Hi Clemzonguy :)

I have details about "Club Drop", but I'm mainly curious about it's success. It's only expensive if you don't get your money's worth ;)

I have yet to meet anybody that has joined. Not only is it very expensive - but they only allow a certain number of people to join each time. Atleast it was like that when I last checked.

Beachie - check your pm's regarding a sale thread.

The club drop service was definitely worth it...to eNom that is. They sold 10 spots for $2500 each and according to Matt Stearn they sold out each month. Keep in mind there were several registrars taking part and not just eNom. Unfortunately their success rate diminished over time and so did its' subscriber base.

I guess now you are stuck using one of the other drop services( Hint: Dr. Drop, email [email protected])

;)

It used to be very successful. I knew a couple of people in it. They were able to get some killer names.

I also heard that the program has been scrapped, but am not 100% sure.

Whilst that is probably true, I'd doubt they'd say it wasn't popular. :)

Keep in mind there were several registrars taking part and not just eNom.

I wasn't aware of that. I guess the others realised they'd do better out on their own?

Club drop was how some drop services got started I believe. If you don't or havent seen enom in the whois on good drops lately then I'd say it is a waste of your money.

I've seen a lot of dropped names registered at eNom with this contact info:

K11 Networks ([email protected])
+1 268 592 633 67
P.O.Box W13210
FD ICIC Bldg.,
St. John's,
AG

I always assumed they were a Club Drop subscriber. Dunno...

I believe that Buildable grabbed "QU.com" with Club Drop.

I was one of the founding members fo eNom's "Club Dump" and it WAS worth the money at one time.

It was completely killed at the end of March.

I STILL have it, but even if I enter in available names, it returns a report with NO success!

So why did ENOM screw it up and if they're not offering it anymore, are they actually using their RRP / pool 3 for anything?

It seems strange that the registrar with about the best interface and reseller programme doesn't do drops anymore.
