What's the story with Enom's search function the last couple of days. It keeps showing random domains are available when they are not. I got all excited when some .coms were listed as available (with all other extensions gone) and they even let me go through the whole registration process before saying "Sucker! This domain is not available!". It is happening randomly on all extensions. I now have to go outside Enom to do a search to see what is really available.

Duke,

It has been doing that for the past couple days.

And, yes. My heart started beating faster the first time that happened.

I bet you can even get Enom to show

Duke.com
FLA.com
DN.com

available.

But, you are out of luck.

Their whois only works on domains within their network. Maybe their reg system has decided to only look at domains in their network now.

Now you can even get results with .com and .net. Hope they resolve this soon.

eNom warned their top tier technology partners of this scheduled maintenance. But I wonder how the rest of the clients are supposed to find out about it.

I suppose, and rightiously so, no one ever checks this menu: http://www.enom.com/registrynews.asp

As far as the whois, it has always been eNom-only" if my memory serves right.

Regards
