Hi,

I'm looking into reselling domain names, and have narrowed it down to using either Enom or GoDaddy. Both look good, but I'd like to go with the best.

So... any current resellers have any thoughts on which registrar is best? Any recommendations? good or bad experiences, etc.?

Also, if anyone has used *both* of these registrars, I'd love to hear your view on which one is better for reselling.

Thanks... I look forward to your comments!

:)

I love Enom. Haven't used GoDaddy but they use it where I work and I have gone through the site and talked with the web guy who registers with it. He is lukewarm about them. There are also extra charges at GoDaddy for things that are free at Enom.

I use both, but now mostly eNom because the prices are better and it includes many more services for free.

Also I find the domain manager to be easier and faster to use and register names.

As a domainaholic I've tried a lot of registrars - resold for a few to.

I had to make that choice 2 months ago. That was before GoDaddy went WildWestDomains - and now enom has changed policy about low prices reseller accounts. I still think enom was the right choice.

eNOM rules.

Godaddy charges cheap but charges for everything else they can sucker the registrant out of. It's the classic bait and pull trick.

And the name Godaddy sucks big time.

:D You would think that a company that sells domain registrations could have come up with something better for themselves.

This comparison is beaten to death. I suggest that you use search and you will get all previous discussion about enom and godaddy.

I'm on the internet business, I used both of this registrar though I primary used enom.

Cheers,

eNom. No question for me.

IMO - everyone else is playing for runner-up.

eNOM is technically so far advanced and ahead in the field, the other registrars look like cavemen chipping in registrations onto rocks for record keeping.

While we are at it, might as well make a plug for UltraDNS, the ultimate DNS solution that DOES NOT DEPEND ON BIND.

Have a look at Dodora's registrar system. Dodora has a truly integrated end to end RRP system that enables seamless connectivity, security, quality of service, and reliability in the SRS infrastructure. IT IS THE FOUNDATION OF THE REGISTRAR SYSTEM, THAT WILL ENABLE IT TO SCALE IN A 100% RELIABLE AND INTEROPERABLE MANNER. We carefully balance stability and innovation. This means that the Dodora's API enables your registrar application to take advantage of new services as fast they become available in a manner that will not negatively impact the stability of your existing business operations. Good examples would be Dodora's support for name store platorm like back order service or domain monitoring service.

Dodora is really an engineering company. Every 3 to 4 months, a new version of Client API is made available free of charge to all of our resellers. This enables our resellers to take advantage of the latest features, standards and protocols as they need them to use new services.

The last, and most important issue is commitment. We have gotten to where we are today by making our customers successful. Our registrar API server has become a critical part of most modern front-end domain registrar websites, and our resellers have learned that Dodora is there every step of the way to ensure that the Registrar system works, with no excuses. That is why Dodora is different.

We are commited to a partnership. We can provide the Client API software solution to help you to be in direct competion with eNom or Godaddy. Your registrar can be a problem, or a competive business advantage. Let us help you make it an advantage.

By the way, any Credit card services like eNom's and cheaper than enom? I want to charge customers' credit card instead mine.

What is the cost of joining (any setup cost)?

PM me if it was private and confidential!

I use a Virtual Dedicated Server at a company called The Domain Name Center (url below). It has worked really well for me hosting my forum on. Their plans offer a lot for the price and I haven't had any trouble to speak of as of yet. I think they are a GoDaddy reseller. I guess everyone has their own experience and mine is a positive one.

I use godaddy for my .ws domains
directI for my .co.in & .in domains.

Rest of the extensions I use enom .
enom is the best.
But be sure to read the following thread

before buying a reseller enom account.

Godaddy Rules, I think they have the best prices and they also have great customer support.
