I am doing an escrow transaction and I have transferred the domain but he put proxy contacts from godaddy where I push.

Is it a worrying sign to rob your domain? I have asked to change the proxy contacts to his but not done yet for few hours now. He obviously changed the dns setting but not contact details.

What would you do?

thanks

The domain is no longer in my account as successfully transferred to buyer's godaddy account where he set up proxy contacts.

Have you other suspects/infos about the "buyer"?
You make the deal via mail?

He contacted me via email.

Now he had accepted the domain via escrow.com .

But whois info is still proxy contacts. I asked him to change it.

I suggest you to wait 48 hrs and still monitorize whois info.

Thanks, Carter.
I will.
May be next time, before transfer, I should contact the gaining registeration company to see I am transferring into the right account.

it's a sign that you could loose your domain, but not the end yet

Cancel the deal.

not yet

if he has acknowledged acceptance of the domain at escrow.com
then he should have authorized payment

bit confusing

did you "push" to another godaddy account or transfer it to an account holder at godaddy from a different registrar?

you should always insure that you have the correct user id # or name of account holder and registrar before initiating any transfers or pushes.

whether the buyer changes "whois" info is not so important at this time, if they have "acknowledged or have accepted" the domain at escrow.

the important thing is that they authorize payment.
get the cash first, then worry about whois later

Thanks all
Transaction finished as Biggedon mentioned as he authorized the payment.
I was a bit worried. Next time before I push or transfer I better call the registeration service at the other end to make sure the account is related to the buyer.

If they give wrong ID or account number and they may say they haven't received the domain after the transfer. Luckily the transaction finished now.

thanks
