I just picked up an exact match law set (e.g. medicallaw.com/.net/.org). What in the world should I do with it? I'm sure there are some lucrative PPL opportunities but I'm not sure I want to develop. Any suggestions?

I'm considering development but haven't monetized this type of site before. I'm interested in some options.. PPL or PPA seems like a solid idea but have no idea how to go about it.

You need to build quality content and get ranked very highly (not an easy task) and only then you can really consider those options. With law sites, there are various ways to go about it:
1. Build a directory and sell advertising/listings
2. Collect leads and sell to attorneys (tricky since lawyers technically can't buy referrals)

I think you're putting the cart before the horse.
You should know your exit strategies before going in.

Do not buy unless you got a plan in mind for developing or selling them.

Yeah I tend to purchase then try to figure it out - which I know is a nasty habit. I know the domains have value though (I got them for a steal). Does anyone have experience with this type of site? I'd love to see some examples.

exactly!

buying a domain because it's available to register or being sold cheap, is not a valid reason for purchasing --

unless you can conceive of a viable model for it, either for yourself or for another.

how do you know they have value, when you "got them for a steal"?

:)

Screw you and your logic. :veryangry:

I understand I did this backwards but it doesn't change the fact I have these domains and now I have to monetize them lol. So, as I said, I'd love to see some examples and get some advice for a ppa/ppl model.

I have experience developing/selling domain names (Former sites of mine I made - legalhelp.org, legaladvice.org, many others).

I remember seeing those sites in someone's signature here on DNF. If they were sold by you, they might have fetched good $$$ - Congrats!

How did you monetize them? My niche has specific legal supplies, training and needs. I don't see directories as being useful so I'd like to stay away from that option. I was thinking I could become an affiliate for a specific training course. Not exactly sure what would be the smartest option though.

And legalhelp.org looks pretty nice. How long did you spend developing it?

you will regret not accepting facts, and for showing disrespect when one tries to give advice

as we now see you only want to "read" words that make you feel good about your actions

@Big. You misunderstood what I was saying. "screw you and your logic" is a saying we use here. Should have known sarcasm doesn't translate via text. I get what I did was backwards but I can't just throw my hands up in the air and give up. Sorry i made it sound like I was insulting you. I did not mean it that way nor would I disrespect you like that.

@Biz

Are you able to share a general figure for how much you sold them for ?

Still a pretty nice chunk of change though. Was it difficult for you to get started? Was it worth your time?
