Harry: I like OpenSRS best, as they're based in Toronto (where I live), and have great support.
Dotster and eNom are my next favourites, and are slightly less expensive. If they were in Canada, that might have swung the balance in their favour... Parava.net is pretty good too (home of NicGenie).
If we can get Verisign to reduce the $6 wholesale cost (via agreements with ICANN, etc.), that's where the big savings would be, instead of switching registrars to someone else. I think most of us would rather pay our registrars a *fair* price, leaving room for a profit, so that they can support us well, instead of paying Verisign a tax for every name, which goes to schmoozing with politicians to keep a stranglehold on their abusive monopoly.
