Sounds like the munitions manufacturer shut down and didnt have or didnt want to spend for the final cleanup.

Cleanup should always be a part of a governemnt weapons contract with escrow funds to fund it.

That is an insanely amount of munitions. I was reading the story and I was like, who want's to move that stuff?

I wonder how big of a crater that would make. How much of Louisiana would be gone if that detonated?
