legal Fake GoDaddy ICANN E-mails being sent out - They're using Godnaddy.com domain

Another fake ICANN e-mail is being sent out. This time they're using Godnaddy.com domain. Registered with Yahoo Domains.

I don't know if the domain was already suspended, I just checked now.

It was hosted with hostiek.com. I used whoishostingthis.com to find the host.

funny that godaddy doesn't register these names after they are dropped or deleted


especially seeing how much "back-end" work they have to do, if a domain is stolen as a result.


at this point, one should assume every gd email to be suspect

GoDaddy does take action but slow. The last domain "golidaddy.com" forwards to godaddy.com. These guys are using previously harvested whois contact emails. I changed all my whois contact and was getting these ICANN e-mails in the old yahoo e-mail.

Good part is they are not the registrar for this domain.

I just got two of these. This is the beauty of using one email as the WhoIs contact and another as the registrar contact - you can easily spot the fakes, they go to the wrong email.

GodNaddy, love it.

I always get these in blocks, for some reason. As in, yesterday I had 6 through all within 5 minutes. It makes it a tad obvious that it's a scam..
