Fan site. What to do?

I think the one thing we see constantly are "fan sites" for a certain celebrity or entertainment. I have seen various notifications on the bottom of sites and have never thought of actually doing one. I just purchased a domain that would be great for a celeb fan site. Has anyone ever tried it? Is it to risky? Or is there a clean way to do it? I do see sites like TMZ, Perez Hilton, etc who all post news on celebs daily. What can and cant be done.

I doubt that you could monetize it, but I think it would be best to consult an attorney if you are dead set on doing it. Most lawyers will have a 20 minute conversation about the do's and do not's for free...

First of all, you would have to be a fan of the celeb you were making the site about, otherwise it wouldn't come across as genuine and wouldn't be anything like a site a genuine fan would make.
