So Far, I have only this:

<<<A favorable buzz continues to build around International Domain Names (IDNs). Though there are still a number of technical issues to be resolved, many speakers at last week's Domain Roundtable Conference in Seattle predicted widespread acceptance for IDNs. DNForum.com owner Adam Dicker (who also spoke in Seattle) said in a recent newsletter that he had purchased more than 5,000 IDN domains over the past six months.>>>

We will be publishing a complete conference wrap up by Thursday evening including summaries of many speeches and seminars and dozens of photos.

In addition to Ron's excellent coverage, you can read about individual Domain Roundtable topics at at Domain Name Wire.

Yes, but unfortunately I cannot find any new IDN related information!

You have to go to the previous post page.
Unfortunatelly if the only thing said about IDN Domains was what was written, we knew there was still issues like 6 months ago.

Had another look around but didn't see anything but a load of old negative stuff on IDN. I think someone must have gone to all the wrong seminars.

Thanks Duke. Just started on this but was intrugued by this quote:

"Ostrofsky is also bullish on the Asia Pacific market, especially China. He predicts that the next wave of millionaires will come from those who invest there."

Also interesting stuff from Clint Page:

<<People are always looking for major changes when technology is involved, but Clint Page said domain names will always be the starting point on the web. He added that because of the indispensable role domains play the industry will continue to be in the spotlight and more consolidation is coming. He also predicted that IDNs will have a big impact. Page added “We have been too .com centric. We need more new TLDs to take off too. I think that is very healthy and will be good for everyone. We are going to see a lot of changes.>>

Excellent story Ron. Your sum up:

"An event like this makes you feel like a rechargeable battery that has just been plugged into a high voltage outlet. It’s a rush of electricity that supercharges your enthusiasm for an industry that is truly unlike any other. I find every day in this business is so interesting that I don’t like having to go to bed at night - but what I really hate is having to wait another year to find out what the Domain Roundtable team will doing on their third time around the track!"

hits the nail on the head. I heard talk of another show in 6 months, likely outside the US.

Well, you probably won't see that at TRAFFIC. I would be surprised if they even acknowledged the existence of an Internet outside the US!

Frankly, my reading of the situation is that Rick is intent on selling his entire portfolio Yin Ye style, but is trying to hype it as much as possible to leverage the best deal.

Big players such as Rick cannot move a large percentage or even acquire a large percentage without moving the market against them unless it is done in some global deal.
