Firefox 3 and add on block all ads

Hello Everyone......

I just installed firefox beta 3 b2 and added a ad blocker ad on, and a list they had and so far it's blocking all ads. It also lets to right click on a banners, and block ads from that ip as well. It looks like the being of the end of ads income, the browser is great so far and the ad blocker with list had blocked all ads so far. This is good news and bad news, as this will stop the ads but also cut way down on publishers income I'm sure.

I just added the 2 software ads DNforum has, bingo they are gone now this is really nice and works great.

I don't understand why people want to visit websites for free but at the same time block ads.

Because ads are a real pain to keep seeing them, but I do under stand that is the double edge of it all.

If people think my websites are useful, they can either pay me or accept the ads.

If you want to block ads block them and get over it, feel good for yourself. Why the heck are you posting this in public? Blocking ads is your personal preference you block and be happy about it. There is no need for you to tell what you did by starting a new thread. Those who would like to block ads can block themselves, your mentor ship is not needed.

You have posted an addon, what the hell is it, why are you afraid to post it bro, is it Adblock plus?

Well I was hoping to have some replys, on thoughts about how these new apps will cut income, on sites that depend in ads for their income. As you may know I my self use adsense for income, do you really think putting your head in the sand. And not talking about it will help anything, no it will not help anyone make up the income they will be using.

I do under stand that this may upset some site owners, as another site admin told me if I want to post this stuff. Then I'm not welcome to the site, I've been a member of for years and I emailed the same to them. I'm working to put my eggs into more baskets my self, I do not want to be left with no options other then just ads income. I would have thought most domainers, would want to talk about this as most already know of the shake up going on right now.

It's going to happen if I post or not, and I'm we will all be facing this problem and I'm pretty sure, that it's better to talk about it now and get a jump on how to deal with it. IE also has this kind of blocker, I've already see they got premade lists to block ads. This is now and it works, it's to easy to use to not take a good look at it for publishers. This may well open up ways, for publishers to use more of their own ads. As it would be unlikey, to be on any list and most people are unlikely to add them them selfs, to block them as it would block the site out.

Just a few thoughts...

If it's not a default to the browser most people won't turn it on.

People probably don't want their internet 'censored' by this feature - what are they missing? Ads can sometimes include info you want to see, like upcoming movies, new games, new sites, etc.

Would be surprised if it blocked ad sense due to Firefox association with G. MSN browser probably wouldn't have this feature because they depend on advertising themselves.

Each person is their own best ad blocker, if you don't care about the ad, don't click on it.
