Affiliate Programs Firefox Aff Programme, Anyone?

I've heard a lot of quotes recently about how Firefox affiliate programme is going to change soon...

Does anyone know how it's going to change (Some people said 'scrapping' completely?)

I can't find any relevant/up to date news articles on the subject, and I am planning to start an adsense website.
