Do you remember the first domain you ever purchase? Mine was HotWebSpot.com back in 2003 What was yours!

Mine was for a client of a now defunct company in perhaps 1990 or so. I was the creative director at an ad agency and knew squat about domain names. Was simply regging them on customer's wishes for their ad packages.

I know it was a .com and had something to do with IdentityFile or something like that.

I purchased several one day.

One for my wife's dog training club, my blog site, and a nickname my wife had (.com).

Then I hand registered a few dozen really crappy domains in hopes of selling them for big bucks.

The first domain I hand registered is atmind.com for my own company. And the first domain I purchased (also when I first join DNF) is blackjacks.net from Acro. :)

Back in 2001, I registered outragemusic.com for the band I was in. I had even designed the crappy website.

I just checked it out the site on the WayBack Machine and just have to laugh at my web skills... or lack thereof.

Don't recall the first one I registered or purchased, but the first one I sold was DriveMeWild.net. :)

The rest of us did the same exact thing - except that some of us reg'd a few hundred worthless domains!

I remember my first domains from registered thru a free service, I can't remember the name, that would put a banner at the bottom of the page. Thru HTML we figured out a way to remove the banner. I can't remember the name nor the service though. Good thing it wasn't a great domain otherwise it would be theirs now.

Mine was picturesofposeurs.com back in 2002 when I was like 14 years old mastering me HTML skills with angelfire free hosting. Wish I would have gotten into domaining then instead of building shitty sites, haha. The good ol' days! :D

First domain I registered was in 1999 for a small website I built when we bred Tibetan Mastiffs... Sno-Lyon.com.

I still own it, it gets some traffic.

timechange dot com - 1997 - sold it.
Feels strange that I own a lot of domains much older than this now.

I think I ended up exceeding 100 in total within 4-5 months. :undecided:

I'm sure most people here would agree with me if I said "if I only knew then what I know now".
