I see that Flirty .com is about to sell on Sedo at 27k with just one bid.

Why would anyone start the bidding at 27k ?

Would that be correct ?

It must have been the 'reserve price'!

A better question is why would anyone pay $27K for 'Flirty'? Overture is only 1,337 and Google is 3,780,000. It must be an end user about to bring out a design label or something.

Anyway it 'bids' well (notice the pun) for better keyword domains!

I assume it was the sellers minimum.

I don't know about you but I wouldn't feel like I got a deal if the name I bid on went to their 7 day auction and closed with no other bids.

^ I would pay cash if it came without the 'y' (and if I had the cash!!) but perhaps it's very hard to find good names in this category.

the seller was willing to sell at a lower price, so I'm sure he's happy.

come back this time next year, and ask the same question.

^ Re: 7003. That seems like an OK price but I say that knowing very little about number domains!

This is the only problem with the auction on Sedo at the moment, no reserve is permitted apart from the 'offer' you have to accept.

It is a gamble, I now have 3 domains listed, 2 of which I pulled the minimum offer acceptable right down on just to get them onto the auction format. Perhaps the seller of 7003.com did the same?

set your minimum in "domain management" then if you get offer, you should feel comfortable with going to auction, if you wish.

you don't have to accept any offers!
