Flowers.tv sold for $12,500 @ Sedo. Why those .tv sale prices are so crazy sometime?

I think it could be good but it is still over-hyped.

I think it is great for TV shows, Lost.TV, Heroes.TV, House.TV etc..

I'm indifferent towards Flowers.TV unless they're planning a big campaign.

How much would Flowers.com sell for? One-word domains can command nice sales prices for the right buyer.

Is that for certain?

A few days after the sale, the WHOIS record listed a contact using an email address at 1800flowers.com. The DNS records are now using 1800flowers.com. The domain now resolves to 1800flowers.com.

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, well you know...........

Congrats to the Seller!

I believe this is more of an anomaly than the norm for .TV sales.

An obviously motivated buyer and targeted domain/keyword = nice sale.

Now, IMO, .TV has always been under-valued, generally speaking, but hey - this is domaining - one persons garbage is another persons treasure.

I'll give it 5 more years, with greater Internet/TV convergence, for .TV to gain increasingly stable sales into the $XXXX & $XX,XXX (assuming the Second Depression doesn't take afoot with the Greed Bubble bursting and there being a Moral Correction in the world of commerce atm).
