Hello Everyone.....

Ok I'm trying to get some .whatever keyword domains, and I'm not worried about reselling them at all or type ins. Just want keywords for adsense sites, and I was wondering about 2 things about them and search engines, and OVT hits when buying them.

1) If it's a 2 keyword domain, and sounds almost as good with the words changed around. Does it matter how, the words are put to search engines and OVT at all ?

2) Also if it sounds just as good almost, does it matter to search engines or OVT if there is a S at the end or not ?

I'm wondering because I'm wanting to get some more keywords, domains and most of them are taken already. Thanks, Tim :)

I think the keyword order matters. Sometimes people type in 'blueshoes' instead of 'blue shoes' for a search, so having shoesblue.biz wouldn't be good. Also it depends on the keywords. Chicago Dating or Dating Chicago both make sense, while 'small dogs' and 'dogs small' aren't interchangable.

The 's' at the end doesn't matter for overture, their returns include plural and singular. Same with search engines - try some searches to be sure. The number of results will differ, but if you search for the singular you could get plurals in the results.

Ok I got SupplementVitamins.info instead of VitaminSupplement, as OVT had it as it seems just as good for adsense.

As OVT bring up the same numbers, and only a few google returns was lost with it instead. Thoughts on doing this please ?

Of course it matters
That's like comparing "facebook" with "bookface" ;)

For search engines order is important as well - google "dating chicago" and "chicago dating" you get different results.

As a rule of thumb, if I am trying to trigger a ranking precedence award in any of the 3 major search engines, I usually won't venture out of .com, .net, or .org. I can't prove it conclusively, but I believe .info, .us, .biz, and any two keyword combo domain with a dash in it, will get less of a ranking award then the solid .com, .net, or .org.

Singular or plural will make a huge difference with search engines.

I don't bother with OVT anymore, I generally seek domains with one or two word combos that bring over 1+ million Google search results [two words combos searched in quotations only]. Combine this with sensical domain choices [i.e. domains you know have a reasonable chance of being searched for].

One such example of an available domain that I know I could make profitable just based on it's ranking and resulting traffic in 1 out 3 search engines [without any link partners]:

clevelandschools.net

Make sure you have 3 well integrated adsense units on each content page, and do put up just enough content to pass any search spam test, just to make sure you don't get filtered.

Edit: Make sure you register the domain with the keywords in chronological order as mentioned above [i.e. "Cleveland Schools" vs "Schools Cleveland"]. Again, I can't prove it conclusively, but I believe ranking precedence will be given to the domain with the keywords in proper chronological order. I really play it on the safe side when it comes to domains that I know will only be profitable based on the amount of search traffic they can garner, as these domains usually have low profit margins [of course being highly profitable when you have an army of them working together].
