I bought a couple domain typo's where the traffic is from germany and the middle east.

Knowing that the ads are based on your geolocation and that I can choose my keywords, how can I preview and make sure that there are ads for the people coming from those other locations. Does the preview show me all the ads or just the ads for my geolocation, does it change when I change the language. When sedo approves a keyword do they check for ads?

Ive done searchs on google.de for my current keyword at sedo and it shows no ads.

I am more concerned with the german typo as it is bank traffic avg about 10-20/day with no clicks, well 2 clicks b4 it was optimized since then no clicks.

not sure if that all makes sense any advice would help

update : If nothing else the domain is a typo of commerzbank.de the english version is here https://www.commerzbank.com/homepage/index.html. suggestions for keywords would help me aswell.

thanks

The preview button should show you the ads as you would see them from your geo location, even if you go to Sedo.de to preview the landing page.

Ads are determined by the keyword and the geolocation. So if you wanted to display German language ads you could use a german language keyword or you could count on German advertisers bidding on an English keyword when ads are displayed in Germany using that keyword.

If this sounds convoluted just let me know and I'll do my best to clarify : )

Jay updated the keyword to Bank Loans, so I will give that a try.

I've gotten some clicks with Bank as the keyword which on overture had a good selection (2.5 euro top bid) on the de mkt but all my clicks were 5 cents per.

Bank loans on the de ovt mkt doesnt have any ads so not sure how thats going to work.

Next keyword im going to try is Kredit or bank kredit which also has some ads, I dont know german so its a hit and miss for me picking keywords.

Right now i have no way to check if its even showing ads.

Btw. Thanks for you help jay :)

You could also find a German Proxy server.. and then run the keyword into google.. that should also give you an idea as to how many people are sponsoring that keyword.

For example.. as I am in the UK, a lot of my domains are US based.. I therefore use megaproxy.com (us based web proxy) to query the keywords in Google. It works well. I have collected many hundred open proxies across the world for this very purpose..

You can normally find free web proxies on google.. however never use a web proxy to log into your SEDO account or any other account for that matter.

Also I should add that Sedo parking seems to be adjusting the default language based upon your browser setting. So it would be interesting to check after changing your prefered language settings.
