You should know firms don't reward loyal customers these days. Only interested in steal from others. Loyalty schemes? Thats just about locking you into higher price structures or commiting to more volume.

I understand. Why give someone something if they are already purchasing names. Instead give the little guy a free name or two and maybe he will begin purchasing from you.

Yes, except that you are sending your loyal customers the message that if they want any promotions, their only option is to go elsewhere, so you don't necessarily gain a great deal from screwing with your bottom line!

Hey Folks - we actually do reward our loyal customers in many ways. We do provide free domain names at trade shows, during radio show promotions when we are interviewed, we provide free domains to non profits and charity organizations through grassroots.org, and various other places.

With that said, this is not to be taken advantage of. We do this through pure contribution and to inspire and excite our industry and hope you all feel good about actions like this. Anything that furthers our industry is good in my opinion and doing good deeds is an area that I have always believed in.

Wasn't aiming remarks particularly at Moniker, but it gets a bit sickening when all the best banking deals and offers available in the UK specifically exclude existing (read LOYAL) customers!

Rubber Duck, I am not worried about one free domain name. Moniker is great and I have dealt with Monte through email several times. My account rep is great thru his communication in emails too. Service and support and quick. Robber Duck, Moniker takes care of those other ways besides providing with a credit for a free domain name.

Keep up the great work, Monte. Looking forward to your radio show tomorrow.

I think you have it all confused. With any company their tactics are to provide those not using their service with promotions to get them in the door. Once inside and are loyal to the company you will receive different "perks".

so I take it the $9.95 per domain is not the cost you guys are paying with them? if it is, enom and godaddy will be keeping my business.

Unfortunately, Moniker have never addressed my needs for IDN. I am with Domainsite which has once of the best service on the web and does bury their excellent interface with a lot of marketing crap like Godaddy for example!

For these reasons and particular the rapid growth in IDN, Domainsite.com is now one of the fastest growing registries. For an IDN transaction having a Domainsite.com Account Code for the push is almost a right of passage!

You are doing a fantastic job Monte and are clearly the #1 firm for serious professional domainers who should not even think about using any other place for various reasons, I will not go into at this time (it's late and I am tired).
