Hey Everyone,
I hashed out a CGI script last night to quickly search large text files and now I've decided to give version 1.0 away for free to the DNForum community.
A working demo can be viewed here: Nitro Parser v1.0
The text files searched in the demo are tiny and just used for an example of the script so you can see if it is of any use to you.
The script itself can be downloaded here: Download Nitro Parser
It is designed to need NO configuration on most servers.
Simply upload the script (in ASCII mode) to your /cgi-bin directory,
upload any text files you want to search to the /cgi-bin directory as well,
chmod the script so it's executable, then point your web browser to the script and start searching.
v1.0 is just a rough script to get the job done. v2.0 is going to have a lot more features and be more robust.
Feedback, comments, suggestions, and (especially =) donations are welcome.
I'm giving the script away for free but even a small F$ donation would be greatly appreciated.
I am working on Nitro Parser v2.0 and would love any suggestions anyone has, ideas for features, improvements, etc.
