Seeing how the forum already has a separate subforum for nearly every tld & cctld, why not just add a .com .net & .org subforum, and we could post the actual name in the title of the thread without the extension, eliminating most of the search engine indexing concerns? Naturally, anyone with half a brain could follow the thread to see what it contains, but at least there should be no direct hits for the name.ext.

Just random thoughts...

as is, it's already difficult to get members to post their cctld names in those subforums.

Become an exclusive member and you can just put part of the name in the title.
-- I felt some of them are misleeding, but it is acceptable for Exclusive members.

But the down side is - I blocked one member who does that all the time.
He post one domain min every day and the You see Loan
you go in to see
Working woman Loan

Never saw the real need, but yes, I suppose that would work too.

Good point.

Someone here made the point that you could post your domain as- "ThisIsMy(STOP)Domain (dot) calm" , and it won't be archived in search engines.

No, the actual domain must be posted, no "calm" instead of "com" shenanigans.

How about using text images of TLD's? The user can select from a drop down list of TLD GIF images, or we can have something like we do with the smiles, for example;

mydomain:GIF:

Not sure if we can do that in the titles, but it's worth looking into.
