Traffic generated for online poker is too disruptive.

Morris Plains, New Jersey (PRWEB) November 8, 2007 -- MHKogan Corp. announced today that it has been retained by FullTilt Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise product information management (PIM) software, not an online poker site, to sell its now famous domain name.

The FullTilt.com domain now receives in excess of 60,000 unique visitors per month looking for the online poker site that uses the same phrase. As the popularity of the FullTilt name grows through the promotion of the online poker site, more and more people erroneously type FullTilt.com to play online poker. "At first we thought that the extra traffic was fun, but now the traffic has grown to a point of distraction and is utilizing resources that should be reserved for our customers and prospects" says Timothy Wallace, CEO of FullTilt Solutions.

The domain will be sold at auction in November and all interested parties must pre-register and be pre-qualified by MHKogan Corp. prior to November 15th. If one wishes to participate, please send an email to info @ MHKoganCorp.com (without the spaces) with contact information and someone will contact you directly. "We expect the purchase price to be in the seven figure range due to the free traffic that is increasing at a rate of 38% per year" said Michael H. Kogan, President of MHKogan Corp. and online poker insider. Mr. Kogan was one of the founders of Platinum Poker and the Vice President of Marketing for the Doyle Brunson Poker Network until October of last year.

Hi,

Problem with someone 'other' than fulltilt .net buying this domain and say parking it to poker ads...I think you would/will have huge litigation problems. So in the end...this domain is only really valuable to fulltilt .net no?

Peace!

I would think, fulltilt poker will definitly go after anyone that decides to put up poker ads or a parking page.

Its worth about 1 wipo and a lawsuit either or, unless you have a legit use and can turn a buck with it.

Very true. This domain can easily make anywhere from $60,000 to $100,000 a month. It may be worth the shot.

How? As a Fulltiltpoker.com affiliate? Google doesn't even show poker ads. I'm sure Yahoo is not far behind.

Hmm, here are 2 names of mine that are poker related:

247 95 0 0 $289.27
46 18 0 0 $106.18

So yes, they are and then some.

the situation here is in some regards similar to that of the theivery of the bodog.com name.

if full tilt poker is the only other party with legitimate rights to the name "full tilt", then the ability of this full tilt software firm to leverage a "7 figure" sale, shrinks, imo.

the analogy to bodog lies wherein the huckster that hijacked the name claimed some sort of 'proprietary rights' to some technology that allows people to gamble over the web. whether or not that actually held water, if it turned out that bodog had trademark rights to the name 'bodog' then this guy was in for a tough day at the races trying to turn a buck off the domain since any attempt to do so could make him liable for tm infringement.

the demand is high for full tilt to pay a premium price for this domain since they would love to have the xtra 60k/month traffic, but i don't think there will be an all out bidding war since as many of you are saying, what domainer wants to take the risk of paying 7 figures for a name that could wind them up in a tm suit?

plus apparently the name is hurting their business. they want to get it off their hands .. not as effective a position to leverage from imo.

If you approach full tilt poker to try and sell to them, is that admitting guilt which would screw you in court? I know you shouldn't take opinions as legal advice, just curious.
