The television is the FOCAL MEDIA POINT for the average American family. It will converge at some point - its just a matter of when ? Hence my question.
I do see your point.
But not sure how long that will remain the focal point of the American family.
Gaming like Wii and Xbox and these other supped up gaming that connect to the internet may already be nudging that out of the way.
Personally, I believe it is already losing ground to the gaming industry and losing overall market share to the 4th media, the internet.
And there has been a noticable shift and increase in spending in what will become the 5th media, the mobile internet.
Good read
So I assume you answer "A" ?
Personally I believe its more to do with "C"

There is a whole new generation of gadgetry folks out there.
I seriously see a huge drop in television revenue quickly approaching.
Major businesses have already announced they will not advertise on the superbowl.
and something I find odd is this news:

Down viewer ratings? I would have thought this was not prone to this.
It will have a major impact locally.
This is where WiMax was a great idea but took way too long to implement. It would have been great in theory. But not in cost now.
Plus, technology has almost made WiMax not necessary due to increased speeds and range.
Now this news of merging television band wavelengths with wireless will most likely leave television suffering even a lower audience.
So, my answer would be E, none of the above.
