Hi,

This is Just some FYI...this was posted today.

Sell Your Domains to NameMedia

Looking to put some holiday season cash in your stocking?

We checked our names, and then checked them twice and it turns out we want more!

We are assessing a flurry of portfolios from domain name owners offering to sell names to NameMedia by year end. In many cases we are buying.

If you would like to sell a single name or large portfolio before the close of 2007, simply contact me directly at 781-839-2812, or email me at plamson (at) namemedia.com.

Here’s to a happy and profitable New Year!

Best,
Dan

Do they usually pay fair price or just chump change?

Hi,

I have no clue....I have never had any dealings with them.

I am sure other members here have...so I am sure someone will share their thoughts.

Seasonal vultures? Chump change I'm guessing. In your posted message they give no idea of their pricing model. I generally take that as meaning 6 x 3 years revenue discounted to 3 x 6 years revenue when I see these ads for buying at Yuletide.

This whole industry is for the most part made up of chump change vultures. It's one thing to get a bargain and another to wait for a wounded prey to succumb to market conditions.

I've heard of them offering xxx on LLL.coms, and this was just recently(5 months or so).

So stand by for possible vulturization.

I think they primarily buy domains from people indebted to the mafia, or over the age of 85.

namemedia will just offer you as low as possible. Maybe 500 for your three letters .com domains.

I've sold to them before and can't say I'm very proud of it. They cherry pick the names. Some I didn't care about and others I did. They were very professional but they don't pay much for names.

Try to sell to end users, that's the best way to get full price.
