yeah, right - I suppose you'd sell abc.com for the "standard" rate then?

Try zero - reg fee on this one.

I'm sure he was talking about 3 CHARACTERS not 3 letters. You know, like ab1.com. I think his appraisal is right on.....$10-15.

What if you have a 3 or 4 character name with a lot of traffic like 7msm.com or 888bb.com? Does that make a difference?

Daniel, n0w.com was keenly contested. I don't remember the final bid,but there was some action for it at enom club drop.

I have already received 2 offers that I turned down in the low $XXX figures for a similar domain maybe better 'looking', because I like the name to use for an email address.

I see people on this same forum, appraise and BUY 3 character domains for $15-25 (and more over the times), and yet, when it is a 3 character domain and a .com AND visially looks like a word, they knock it below the very price some people bought or apraised simple 3 character .coms.
Makes any sense? No.
I think sometimes, its simple jealousy :)
domains with 0 in them that look like words are obviosuly worth more than their counterparts that dont make sense like n2q.com
If the average value of a simple 3 char domain is in the $15-20 range, then you yourself can see where a domain that looks like a 3 letter .com should be valued.
However, there could be another reason for the low appraisals here. Most of us are pros in this market, and we know or believe we know the value of a domain, which is kind of realistic.
However, throw a domain like G0T.com at ebay, where the market all together is not as experienced, then you are bound to break the $100 barrier where 3 char .coms are considered 'valuable' wether we like it or not , wether we can justify it or not.
