Curious if there is a general consensus on which is worth more the singular or plural of a generic domain. Usually the plural gets more searches but singular seems to have more weight?

Ex. would you rather own car.com or cars.com purely from domain standpoint?

Many domainers will tell you plural is always much better, and plurals normally get more searches. But I think that singular often sounds better than plural. I would take job.com over jobs.com, apartment.com over apartments.com, car.com over cars.com, but I like hotels.com better than hotel.com. I think plural sounds better when people do a lot of comparing and often buy several of something. Otherwise I prefer singular.

Depends on the name.....and, how its used colloquially...

For me, Issues.com is better than Issue.com...

...but, Husband.com is better than Husbands.com...

And, I'd take Cars.com over Car.com ('Cars' has 5 times the exact type-ins of 'Car')......but, gimme either...!....:D
