I'm thinking of buying a domain name visit<city-name>CITY.com for a small town, it has a population of 85,000 and 1 college.

What do you guys think? How likely is it to sell on afternic in standard network listing?</city-name>

When flipping geo domain names, what population size do you usually target?

Yeah, I tend to stick to tourist desinations, and places I've actually heard of. My cousin went to school in this town, so it caught my eye. But I think it's still small, Google search tool says 0 monthly searches for "visit CITY".

I bought travelsantacruz.com which I think was a good pickup.

My opinion is "visit" only works if its a tourist attraction type of city.

If its an average town with a college, no big deal.

Visit Boca Raton - 86,000 people and 3 colleges
Visit South Beach - 39,000 people and no colleges
Visit Key West - 25,000 people and no colleges

Which one would you rather have? ;)
