I recently started a new directory (hostforzero.com) and was curious as to how i go about attracting more visitors and gain more listings. What advertising methods have some of you used for your sites?

I've made best experiences with PPC advertising like AdWords or Overture.
The good thing is it's PPP (pay per performance), so you really only need to
pay when you get visitors. In addition, you might want to buy advertising
space on websites with a similar content to attract more visitors. You also
need to get your site into search engines, of course. The fastest way to
achieve this is getting backlinks, so you can buy text links on other websites
(especially on sites with a high PR), too.

site has a PR3 from when it was a free hosting site.
Would i advertise on other directories? those are the sites that would be similar i guess
