Someone didn't realize its a typo? Doubtful but seems a very high price for that kind of typo.

It's possibly an end-user purchase through a domainer bidding for them maybe?

I guess we shall see where it ends up going to..IF it actually get's paid for that is..

One wheel short of a worthy domain :D
But never underestimate the power of failing to consult a dictionary. That's how typosquatting works.

It's really spelled both ways in all honesty...research I did earlier before bidding on it actually showed advertiser bids are HIGHER for "gocarts" than they are for "gokarts" ..so go figure

and with an ovt with ext score in the 500's it's not lacking type-ins either..

nonetheless, it most likely earns only low $xxx per month at best...parked that is.

It would really surprise me if the bidder paid. However, Domaintool (the winner) has made several big ticket purchases in the past. Besides, I think your finances have to be in order and a credit line pre-established before you can bid over $1000 or so.

I think I had to do some verification process way back when, but no credit check or annything like that..and anything over 5k requires a wire obviously. This is a strong domain name with alot of potential but I just don't see any point in paying 90k+ for THIS name. Unless of course you are a signifigant sized end-user or know something we all don't.

Maybe cars are all going bye bye and gocarts are the next big thing and everyone will have one..in that case they just stole it for that bid price! lmao :pound:

Obviously the buyer has a business plan. But Google results for gokarts vs. gokarts differ quite a lot in number.

Oh, I used to love GoKarting or GoCarting, never really was concerned about the spelling when I was a kid.

nonetheless, it most likely earns only low $xxx per month at best...parked that is
If we're talking about an end-user, then he should be bringing in alot more then that!

Why do they "obviously" have a business plan? How did you reach that conclusion?

I think maybe they just have more money than sense..

People, if I ever have an opening for a job or post a help wanted ad somewhere for one of our marketing or advertising ventures, please don't apply.

For all the brainiacs that think there can only be one spelling and one meaning of carts, I dare you to list the varieties of "carts" that can be found, beginning with "CARTS" Results 1 - 10 of about 18,000,000 for carts, followed by looking at http://www.ridecarts.com/, sucky name for CARTS (capital area rural transportation system) or perhaps the person who owns GoKarts wants the 1.5 million results for GoCarts to be re-directed.

Honestly, to those screaming its a typo or a mispelling...do you really think the buyer is that clueless? Gee, how about the losing bidder? the one who bid $91K? Or those that dropped out in the 20's, 40's. 50's.

Sorry to sound so harsh, but honestly...these threads are getting ridiculous.

The beggars on the street wonder, how can someone afford a $6 latte?

Those who sip in enjoyment perhaps don't think twice about it?

It is time domainers stop appraising every god damn valuation there is to be valued. No one cares about domainer opinions unless you have something a buyer wants.

With the right end it could be worth that, but offhand it seems expensive.

Well-put. Make that a sticky about life's painful truths. Not to mention, that today we're here and tomorrow we're gone.

I think it was end user sale or two drunks fighting each other on namejet?
