Smart move. Bob's style would have clashed with the conduct expected of a CEO of a listed company. He'll do better focusing on Main Street as he always has, rather than Wall Street.

IPO: initial public offering in stock.

It is the first distribution of shares in company.

They'll do better in next year's superbowl commercial, hopefully.

This is a really sad story for godaddy.com, but we have to think why a frog steps back when he wants to jump higher.

Nice logical spin from Parsons. Domain registrations and webhosting have so much to do with the price of oil and tensions in the middle east.

The cancellation certainly had nothing to do with GoDaddy being unable to earn a profit for every fiscal year its been in operation.

My guess is they will get bought out.

That's the best thing they could have done. If anybody wants to invest in a profitable domain registrar which is the only public company, look into Tucows, ticker symbol TCX. The company is making all of the right moves. It currently trades at .94 cents. It won't be long before it trades above $1.50. The company is doing fantastic. Cheers!

I hope godady.com finally make it.
Sorry to hear that Mr. Bob......
I know publishing IPO is not easy..... stock itself is not easy, too !
The old adage say, "A good beginning is half the battle."
Good luck Mr. Bob

Go Daddy has indeed been around for a while, but I think this is a signal of the beginning of the end, in that sooner or later Go Daddy will be sold.

The reason for cancelling it was really interesting. As for the company itself, even though it is one of the biggest Registrar, I would never trust them my domains. Just another not customer oriented company (in my opinion)
