In this particular case I doubt Godaddy really made any judgement calls - they simply complied with a law enforcement request.
If it is phishing issue (I suspect it is) there is no due process really.
In such a situation the first step is to shut down the site and domain in order to avoid more scam victims.

On a side note I'm shocked that so many people depend on that kind of third party services, especially for supposedly critical websites/businesses. Coding isn't that hard and if you lack the technical skills you can outsource the job on sites like scriptlance (cheap).
Looks like Jotform is even available as a
free service. Do you really expect a level of service or guarantees from a free service ?
