...as if we needed more than 1 of the most descriptive, .xxx...
The four gTLDs that can now be registered on GoDaddy are: .xxx, .porn, .adult, and .sex.
The oldest, .xxx, was launched in 2011. It has the greatest number of registrations at 55,000 domains. The second most used adult top-level domain is .porn — delegated three years later in 2014 — with around 10,000 domains. Also launched around the time of .porn are .adult and .sex which have around 8000 domains each.
There are 115 million .com websites registered. It's estimated that 4% of websites are pornographic in nature. Therefore, it's safe to assume that the 80,000 domains (provided that a larger number of them aren't speculative investments) from gTLDs barely scratch the surface of the king's potential 4.6 million domains in the adult niche.
The price of .xxx at GoDaddy is regularly $18.99 for the first year, but it's on sale for $11.99 with a $11.99 standard renewal. The same pricing structure applies to .porn, .adult, and .sex.
