As a comparison, for the same price, their reseller company WWD charge 30 cents more per .com
There is a chance ya could make up the diff. thru reg. sales

Personally, the GD and WWD ownership transfer process drives me round the bend.

Yes, they could run an API that would allow you to "transfer" a WWD domain into godaddy for free, while it is still in WWD.


Kind of like, how when you buy a domain from buydomains, you manage the domain at buydomains.com, not regitrarname.com
