I heard that Google has sent out letters to all their big clients that practice arbitage from adwords to adsense that their accounts will be closed from June 1st.

Is this true? I have heard this from two different people but I haven't seen anything written anywhere on the net about it.

Can anybody confirm or discuss this?

Thanks,
Petros

Well, they tried "Smart Pricing" and "Quality Score" methods to reduce it naturally. The logic being that if you paid 10 dollars a click and your PR went to zero, you'd get the hint and change your ways.

I remember reading that Shoemoney (www.shoemoney.com) flaunted his arbitrage efforts and does/did manage to fool Google and continue to make large profits. He uses pretty sophisticated methods to avoid detection and site creation. Stuff that most people are not going to do. Looks like Google wants to stop paying these guys the millions.

It was bound to happen that Google closed this loophole. I imagine that the new detection technique is to find who is making a living off of adsense and then study them to see if they are breaking the rules. If so, Google will adjust their system to stop it, using the carrot first and then the stick.

adwords to adsense for domains was not allowed according to their TOS anyway. About adwords to Yahoo parked, I don't think they care

Webmasterworld.com is also home to Google's Gestapo, and those suffering from paranoid delusions. Getting a post through censorship clearance over there, is like trying to kick a football through a keyhole. Tread lightly, and sprinkle three grains of salt on every post you read.
