Google is a very strong brand, but in the Chinese market, branding the company under the letter ‘G’ may be a bit easier, especially for the mobile or newbie user. Google now owns one of the shortest possible domain names for the users in the Chinese market, G.cn.

Google says that this short domain name would help the web users in the country as they would be able to type it in fast. G.cn now redirects to Google.cn. G.cn is believed to be a million level Chinese RMB Yuan exchange.

G.com however, leads to nothing and is owned by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority.

Downjoy.com is the biggest illegal pirate mobile games download community in China, founded by Xiao Yongquan. The transaction is said to be 2 million Chinese RMB.

Emay.cn buys m.cn for 3.3 Million Chinese RMB Yuan before.

All of above transactions are spending such money to compete in the mobile internet .

However, few traditional netizens like to type g.cn to use google and so on.
We also can get conclusion, the short domain ,like 99.cc or other one or two digit domain name ,even 3 digit domains with .cn .cc .in will be much more expensive due to the mobile application.

One letter domains are going to be huge.

When you domainers on here waxing lyrical over 4 and 5 letter domains which are thousands of times more numerous than one letters the appeal should be obvious.

None, of this means they get the letters for free though. I suspect they will have to drive the auctions to 8 figures to secure their prizes.

Wrong, Wrong, All Wrong... You should be saying IDNs are going to be huge. Chinese people don't want full length URLs. They want single characters so natives in the countries can access the site easily.
