Its greatest weakness is the ghost of click fraud. News based on a leaked story from Fair Isaac Corporation spread like wild fire late last week. The press release stated that Fair Isaac had been conducting a study on billable click fraud rates at Google and had found 10 – 15 % of all billed clicks to a small sampling of accounts had stemmed from invalid activity.

It appears Google is taking serious action to improve its services on many fronts. Google had begun to close “Made For AdSense” (MFA) sites on Monday, before the Fair Isacc report was publizied. Examples of MFA sites include parked domains, misspellings and faux-search engines, all of which tend to have AdSense advertising on them.

Google is sending closure notices to owners of low conversion MFA sites. Late in the week Google issued emails informing several owners of MFA type sites that their AdSense accounts are going to be terminated on June 1, according to WebmasterWorld reports.

I have not gotten an email, but this sounds like trouble lurking..

There is always somewhere to get some money.
Some of the MFA are not productive for Google but some of them are, maybe not so much but still are.
They chose to get rid off every website thats MFA.

Its too generic, maybe they should give specific details on this?

I just got this... I NEVER have clicked on one of my own ads... I guess they are sending it to everyone.

Steve...

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on
the Google ads on your site(s). In the future, we may adjust your
payment for any days during which invalid clicks occurred in order to
properly credit advertisers for any invalid activity.

As a reminder, any method of generating invalid clicks is strictly
prohibited. Invalid clicks include but are not limited to any clicks
that are generated through the use of robots, automated clicking tools,
manual clicks by a publisher on the publisher's own web pages, or a
publisher encouraging others to click on his ads.

If you are clicking on the ads on your web pages for testing purposes,
please note that clicking on your own ads or encouraging others to do
so for any reason is prohibited, due to the potential for inflation of
advertiser costs. Please be assured that there is no need to test the
ads on your site, as our specialists review all of our ads to ensure
that they meet Google's advertising standards.

If you would like to visit the destination of an ad to view its content
or to add it to your filter list, you can use the AdSense Preview Tool,
available here:

https://www.google.com/adsense/previewtool?hl=en_US

The Google AdSense preview tool is an addition to the right-click menu
for Windows Internet Explorer 6.x, allowing you to preview the ads that
may show on any web page. Clicks and impressions from the preview tool
are not applied to the advertiser's account. You can click through to
the target site without worrying about invalid clicks being generated
on your account, and without costing the advertiser for your test
clicks.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this email. We
will be happy to help in any way we can.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

i often wondered what would happen if somebody didnt like you or your site, and used any of these tactics on your site, if google would know the difference between you and the actual violator?

So what if you have some MFA sites but also some legit sites in your portfolio? Is Google just going to shut you down?

The problem is their lack of validation of sites. Initially you have t provide a link to t a site when you sign up but once your account is created you can place ads on all kinds of sites... I guess they will figure that if you have ads on some MFA sites then they will just shut you down altogether?? If they verified each site this would not be a problem, they could just go ahead and say sorry, you can not have ads on that particular site...

ok lets say i dont like u,
i pay $10 and u get some thousand hits in some days.
Google close ur account and i m happy.
This system is full of holes.
They must change the way it operates, its too risky to work with adsense.
One day u r there and the other u r banned and cant send some excuse.

Many say that the victims are the advertisers and maybe its true because they feed this chain, but we have also victims because we loose all our money and hard worked websites very easily.
The only one thats not a victim is Google.

I praise the day i ll move out from them.
Until then i m working as a slave for them.

It happens daily. Search the topic and you might be suprised how common this really is. People lose their accounts all the time.

So in order to work with GA , you will need a traffic website and shouldn't have any enemies.

Low earning MFA sites are probably costing Google more than their worth in tracking, reporting and credits to adwords partners.

Although I thrive on PPC sites I'll be the first to admit that a ppc site/template is an MFA site. If your conversion rate is good for them, you have nothing to worry about. At the moment were being overwhelmed with click frauders which in my oppinion include people creating crap traffic to their MFA/PPC sites in turn pissing off advertisers (who track the incoming clicks).

Anyone here who pays for adwords or other will agree that it has to stop. I'm all for cleaning up the system.

No, you're not. You are accepting a relationship of your own free will. Probably because it's the best opportunity available to you. When you have a better opportunity, you're free to pursue it. If no better opportunity comes along, you are free to try and create one. That's nothing like Slavery. Pretty much the opposite, in fact.

While the DNF templates are clearly MFA sites, they contain good content and are well put together. I highly doubt that these will be a problem in the short term, but we all need to diversify income sources to ensure long term success.
