I was wondering how much should I ask for domain names with high google page rank (not currently developed sites)
is it reasonable to ask for 100$ for each point,
so for example, if the page rank is 7, the price should be $700?
Also should the price consider dmoz or yahoo links, how much should the price grow if the domain has also a dmoz or yahoo link?
Thanks

Hi Elieli,

The PR is only one factor among a myriad of considerations for a domain name value.

Sector, name length, number of words, brandablility, PR, links, etc.

Thus, everything needs to be taken into consideration and domains need to be priced individually.

Good luck

I think that one increase in PR should give an exponential increase in price - all other factors neglected. The difference between a PR2 and PR3 is nowhere near as much as between PR7 and PR8.

not to mention, pageranks can be manipulated and change from week to week

Thank you all.
I guess that page rank should be important to people who work with search engines.
I just collect domain names with traffic. appraisal on these names is simple: I just estimate the revenue for 10-12 months.
however I have no idea how to estimate domain names with page ranks.
I will give an example:
I have for example the domain name: ***.ws

it has about 200 hits per month, so it doesn't make too much revenue from parking,
the name itself does not worth much, it is a .ws and the name too long

however it is page rank 5 and has 1 dmoz directory link,
How much should I ask for such a name ?

This thread was moved to "Gold Cafe" because there was no domain name to be appraised in the first post.

Hey, send me a PM with what domains you're selling, I'll give you a price...
