First off, domainers are not idiots. They'll move domains to a different parking company if a parking company would go out of business, so obvious that logic doesn't apply here.
Secondly, those researchers are time wasters. They are not doing anything positive. Google the guy behind these statistics. He has done many statistics in the past and has not received many positive comments, mainly because he is way off base.
He has almost no experience in this field and trying to publish a very big report which is very inaccurate.
