I think USD 900 is great value for Myspace.com! But the Google hegemony becoming too much. Google must be dreaming about a day when every 1 out of 10 internet visitors will choose visit their page. What do you think about this ever increasing monotony and sort of monopoly by Google?

well..it was actually 580 mill that they paid for myspace....now FOX is getting 900 million from google as part of this advertising deal..imagine what google is going to make....even though we all know how hard the traffic is to monetize..if there are hundreds of millions are people a month inevitably they will click at some %..I used to notice the "home refinance" ads run at the top of myspace by yahoo...I wonder what major advertisers with google/adwords are gonna say when they start getting hundreds or thousands more clicks per month that don't convert...hmmm, wonder if google has some escape clause from the 900 million...surely they made loopholes in the contract, but it's all free money to them so I don't think either side really cares what the specific dollar amount ends up being as long as it's millions. Just my wooden nickel on this subject :eek:k:eek:

Sheesh. I wonder if Tom registered myspace.com himself in 1996, or bought it from someone and if so how much?

Whatever it is...he's rolling in it now.
