depends on the domain. if it's actually a trademark, then settle for half or a bit less than lawyer fee+suing you to get the domain

but how do I know if this company is legit? How do I know that they really represent who they say they represent?

you have 3 days to comply.... or what, exactly?
They cannot just take it from you, they have to file for a UDRP or court proceeding.

AFAIK they are legit.
For example they work for Lego (a UDRP regular).

Phone their US number and ask them...+1 866 907 3267

I would be making sure this wasn't a hijacking attempt as well.

While there is no question they are a legitimate outfit, what you need to concern yourself with is are they being over reaching on their claim or not.

Does the domain name obviously infringe on their client? If so, give it up. If not... well, that's another matter.

You should be asking them that question. You have 3 days so ask them to provide proof. It's funny how they don't have a contact # listed.

Having no phone number in the digital era is not necessarily showing bad faith, just company's choice. I don't use phone either these days, it cut the costs and less wasted time on phone inquiries.
