I have got a few emails from this guy..

He asked me how much I wanted for the domain

PokerTricks.com

I Sent him a email back and told him I am open to all offers... This is what he sent me...

"Thank you but I am not interested in making offers. I need to know what the
price is. If you can give me a price, then I will let you know."

What do you think the name is worth? What should I say to him.

Thanks for the help,

Shawn..

I only think its worth $15, but I would ask for about $150-$200. You can always come down and if he went for the higher figure I would consider myself lucky (cardtricks. com would be different and far better).

sjp:

You should be able to feel this guy out...you seem to get lots of offers.

Theres only one answer...sell at what you are comfortable selling for...and with this domain, pokertricks...I would be happy with $15-50, bit if you can get $100 great!

You could tell him that I said he was crazy to even think about buying the name for more that $15...but that might not be the ideal sales pitch. :)

HA HA HA... Well it got up to $25 on ebay... And It did not hit my reserve..

I guess I will tell him $150 obo.... I thought it would be worth more.

I also posted,,, CanePole.com on ebay and it got up $100 but it did not hit the reserve.

I have had a lot of people email about that one as well... What do you think I should sell it for...

Thanks for the help everyone... I hope we all know what a cane pole is.. If not, ask And I will tell you..

I will give $100 DN bucks for the person who gives me a price and the best reason why they chose that price..

I am paying for a serious evaluation... Please respond..

Thats easy SJ.. tell him what you WANT for the domain..

He will tell you if it's more than he WANTS to spend..or if he WANTS it at that price..

thats what the domain is worth..

Good Luck in your sale...

I would think canepoles would be the better one. Only to fishermen, not sure anyone else would really type that in. Who owns canepoles.com anyway?

PokerTricks.com is an excellent name and probably perfect for the site he wants to build. I would respond with anb asking price of $450, and let them know you are accepting offers as well.

I have played a lot of poker over the years and I have never seen a "poker trick". I have seen a lot of card tricks though. Trying to pull a trick while playing poker is a good way to get shot. What are these poker tricks that would be of any value?

All right - tell me a poker trick then. As I said, I have played the game for several decades, I've never seen a "poker trick". I can't believe this term is used enough to mean anything to a net surfer.
Overture shows 29,000 searches for card trick. There are only 100 for poker trick and I'm surprised there are that many. I would bet those are confused folks equating cards with poker.

By the way I looked up "poker trick" in Google too. Last night in talking about another name I mentioned that it only came up with 310 entries in Google, the lowest number I had ever seen while conducting a search there. Well we have a new winner - "Poker Trick" has only 46 entries meaning it is a term that is virtually unheard of and unused. If you can get $150 out of this guy you are positively robbing him - But that's his problem! Good luck - I hope you get it!
