I got an email from godaddy regarding one of my domain and godaddy said they received a transfer request for the domain name.

I didn't transfer the domain and haven't been in any transaction whatsoever for that domain.

What could it be?

Is someone trying to steal my domain?

I appreciate your help.

could be a mistake, or someone trying to see if you just are sleeping/dumb enough to accept it...I would lock it down and I think godaddy should contact the requesting party and find out the reason why the request was issued.

keep us posted.

Just lock down the domain and if need be further contact godaddy.

I had someone who wanted a domain I owned back when I was using godaddy, they'd put in a transfer request once a week. Godaddy wouldn't stop it or tell me who it was so I simply moved the name just for precaution.

Have you locked the domain? If a domain is locked, no transfer requests would be started isn't it.

Even if the domain is locked you can still get transfer requests.
