Was just browsing around the government business sites and stumbled upon this little nugget...

http://www.canadabusiness.ca/eng/page/3453/

[h=2]What if the name I want is being used by someone else?[/h]If you have not been successful at finding an appropriate domain name that is not in use, you may want to consider purchasing an existing name. Many desirable domain names are already in use or have been purchased by resellers who are willing to negotiate a price for the rights to the name. There are several ways to purchase an existing name: by private sale, by auction, or through a domain name broker.

Not bad, and they even avoid the "cybersquatter" term which is nice

Thanks for posting that link SPEX - that's a good bit of info by the Canada Business Network.

The info is good, sounds like someone who understands domains wrote it. Maybe even someone here at Dnforum? haha

cheers,
Jim

No problem…figured it would be some good back up to show a prospective end-user how the game works
