Apparently, someone offered his spot in line where she purchased the quick pick ticket.

In theory, the other person lost their lucky spot.

But think about it for a second: had she not been offered the spot, the chances of the other person being issued the exact same winning numbers would be impossible to compute. The conversation they had and the time that elapsed due to the change in order caused the machine to generate the winning numbers.

A mere change in the order of events created a perfect alignment of stars!
