Great minds think alike! :) I put it as a prize on my auction of imu.net, if the price goes over $200. I noted that it would become deliverable once that feature is available....I figure a few weeks, but that's up to Greg's programmers.

Free trial memberships you pass out. Most likely to potential buyers of a name you have in the auction.

Greg: will there be a special link for the SnapBacks, so that only paid Platinum members can get them? I suspect some of the cheapskates would try to circumvent things, to buy them even if they're not paid members.

Perhaps some email check or something at SnapNames, to verify that the DNForum email address matches that of the SnapNames account?

You will have to be a Platinum member.

Here is the plan. First week Snapnames are available the price will be $39.95/snap. Then they will go to $44.95 for about 6 weeks. Then $49.95 after that.

Somewhere along the line Gold members will be able to get Snaps for $49.95.

Awesome deal.

FYI - Greg had to sleep with a few people to get that deal - but he did it for you. It was all... FOR YOU! :D

Greg: you might want to announce that a couple of days before the SnapBacks become available, to boost Platinum signups. Perhaps in the weekly newsletter, or something.

yeah - advertise it on the forum home page or something to boost numbers

snapnames is popular so it should entice more people to sign up

I already see "Perfectname.com" quoted. Several auction have somethign like this:

"These names sell for thousands at Afternic and PerfectName".

Gregr must be proud at that.
