Heads Up! eNom resellers with scripts

Wanted to send out a warning to all eNom resellers who have a sign up script.

Yesterday afternoon we had a person create an account who had searched here at DNForum for enom+reseller.
First flag was the IP was from Puerto Rico but gave an address of Wisconsin.
Second flag was they immediately bought some domains. Most new account holders don't buy domains right away.
Last flag was most of the scammers always create accounts late Friday because they know eNom doesn’t work on the weekends.

I called the person this morning and they said their bank called them last night with high Internet purchases. I dug deeper and the sites that the person registered all point back to Iran.

Ah, very interesting, I had a sign up from Iran yesterday, I emailed them to let them know I doubt enom can do business with them. No names purchased though.

I have some customers from IR and IL that are fine but eNom's official stance as I have it from fraud credit is that these countries need prior approval:

Bulgaria
Egypt
Indonesia
Israel
Lithuania
Malaysia
Nigeria
Pakistan
Romania
Russian Federation
Turkey
Ukraine
Vietnam
Former Republic of Yugoslavia
Iran
Ghana

Looks like you are correct.

U.S. Executive Order 12959, enacted May 7, 1995, prevents U.S. based service providers from doing business with Iran and its people.
