Hi,

I've been part of this forum for some months, asked questions and bought some domains. But I haven't introduced myself properly yet and thought I should do so.

I'm a Swede in my twenties who first started buying domains with the swedish extension (.se) about 1-2 years ago. It didn't go so well and I burned some money, mainly because I didn't educate myself on what are good domains and also because the Swedish domain market doesn't command prices anything near the international market yet.
Just some months ago I found this forum and I've decided to read and learn as much as I can in order to in the future base my domain acquisitions not on a gamble or what I think is a great name, but what actually could have a value based on use for an enduser or what traffic it could achieve.
So far I've only bought some domains on this forum, but I will also soon start to sell some of my domains so I would get money I could among other things spend on developing other domains I own.
I really want to learn to be a successful domainer and I've already received much help on this forum, if it weren't for this forum my current domain portfolio would be based upon worthless domains without a future at all in terms of a sale. So thank you everyone for not keeping the knowledge to yourself and for helping a novice like me get started in the biz!

Now you will have to excuse me, I must get back to reading this forum and learning some more ;).
Best regards,
Jonas (JED)

Draggar, thanks for the official welcome!

I've certainly learnt that this is the best place to learn about domaining. Although I must confess that I have become somewhat addicted to the iSpy feature, I just can't take my eyes away from it! :)

Oberheimer, thanks for the welcome. It's nice to see another Swede on the forum . I'm curious, how long have you been a domainer and have you only invested in international extensions or in some .se domains as well?

Dnol, thanks for the welcome as well :). To answer your question the Swedish economy has also declined this year unfortunately :worried:

Carter, thank you also for the welcome :)

Actually i have never invested in a .se
I like to think big so and thought the .com was better if you wanted to make big money. Some might stick with just .se or develop sites for just sweden but nothing for me. Im still dreaming about my social networking site that will be the next big thing lol. Call me a dreamer but im sure it can be kinda big after some time

Oberheimer, it's probably for the best you've never invested in .se and focused on .com instead.
If you ask me there's nothing wrong with being a dreamer, as every big thing always starts as a dream/idea. Social network sites is "in" at the moment and I also have some ideas involving social networking. My best wishes towards your project, maybe you will build the next facebook! :)

Dnol, that's some great combinations you have there!
I've never thought of using the .se extension that way before, thanks for the tip!

Ehsan, thanks for the welcome. I will try not to rush, but to take everything at a decent pace...maybe I could rush slowly! :)

Predator, thank you also for the welcome. It's an honour to be aboard!
