I have been visiting this forum for awhile now. I decided to join the crowd by registering. Anyway, I am not a professional domain name dealer like many of you are. My interest on domains is more towards "collecting" than "making a profit". 3 of the domains I own were owned by companies (or companies under the corporation) I used to work for (All of them are either bankrupted or no longer in service). They are quite useless if you ask me. 3 other domains I have is currently in use for a non-profit (Not even ads!) hobby related site. The other 6 domains I have carry no significant value to me. Well, since this particular forum is for "Domain Appraisals", I'd like to submit 3 for you to eval. It's always nice to hear what other people think about the stuffs (Domain in this case) I own.

1. securesector.com - A bit too long and don't make too much of a sense. I was thinking about Netsec.com or securitysector.com but they were all taken. ;)

2. chilired.com - Obviously, its the code name of a color for a ...

3. redhedge.com - Didn't know it's a name of a plant before I registered the name.

Anyway, hello to all of you. Have a great day. :)

Hi lliang - nice to see a newbe who doesn't think their domains are worth $$$$$$ - like me of me when I first joined this forum :)

securesector.com - always a demand for security related domains - but not much value.

2. chilired.com - Dropable - and not only becuase Chili is hot :)

3. redhedge.com - might even be the name of a small town, but still not much value - keep it anyway.

I like the securesector.com name - like DC said, there's always a demand for security related domains and services, and this name sounds trendy, easy on the ears. It passes the radio test easily:

*closing jail cell slammed* noise
*low voice saying: visit us at www.securesector.com, or else"

I don't know. heh..

PS: What is the chilired code for?

Thanks to all who replied.

As for Chili Red, it's really not a code or something. It's more like a creative way car manufacturers name the color "red" on their vehicles (i.e. Electric Blue, Orbit Orange, Hemi Orange, and so forth.) I thought I'd use chilired.com for a personal site with lots of mindless stuffs. After all, "Chili Red Consulting" nor "Chili Red Technology" sound right. ;)
