Help! Domain just dropped, yet unregistrable??

I backordered a .org domain at several backordering services and it has dropped as the whois info shows that no domain is registered under that name. I tried regging the name with moniker but it says it's taken and whois shows empty?? how come the drop catchers are not getting it and why can't I reg it? thanks a lot!

PIR block domains after drops on random intervals, 10~20 hours, probably to avoid being flooded after drops like Verisign. If you backordered they will likely catch it for you.

which whois did you check? Whois.sc, for instance, takes some time to show whois changes

I think you just wait a few minutes for whois server updated.
