I'm hoping you all can help me. How much are generic .info domains generally worth? Is there some type of rule of thumb? For example, how much are the following generally worth:

(1) A three letter .info that spells a name such as kim.info?
(2) A 4 letter .info that spells a name such as luis.info?
(3) A generic .info that is a country such as canada.info?
(4) A generic .info that is a sickness such as cancer.info?

I sincerely appreciate your input and feedback.

no real difference between a 3 letter and an 8 letter premium .info

Depends on the word...cancer>canada>kim ..but sex>cancer

Right now the values of any .info (IMO) is a reg fee, maybe $15-$20 for a good one (if you can find one to register).

---BUT---

There is a huge devolopmental potential for these. I found a LLLL.info that I hand-regged and I am currently devoloping into a site and traffic has already picked up.

(1) A three letter .info that spells a name such as kim.info?

These types of domains can run in $,$$$ range depending on buyer, but "proper names" as sometimes hard sells.

(2) A 4 letter .info that spells a name such as luis.info?

The same would apply as above but value may be lower, mid $$$

(3) A generic .info that is a country such as canada.info?

These are highly sought after and value is determined according to how knowledgeable the seller is.
values $$,$$$ and up for country/state and major cities

(4) A generic .info that is a sickness such as cancer.info?

These are also a hot item, and values start in high $,$$$ range and up for one-worders

of course any traffic would increase those values.

imo...

Biggedon, thanks for your thoughts. I sincerely appreciate your guidance on this. Anyone else with any thoughts? I'm really trying to understand and gauge this market. Thanks again.

This is not true. Good generics are selling for $50-150 and premium .info's are in the $xxxx range in the reseller market.

Ill have to agree with this, as opposed to "draggers" response.

Ive had a few $xx, $xxx, and $x,xxx sales just within the past 2 weeks only pertaining to the .info extension.

If its a premium name, such as Kim.info, it will have value, because there will be ATLEAST one person that will want that soley based on the name KIM. If Andrew.info was available for purchase, I would buy it simply because it has meaning to me. Most of the times, if its a commonly used generic word, the domain name will have value regardless of how well it fits the .info extension.

Any 3 letter commonly used name in the .info extention will fetch you atleast low $x,xxx, but really depends on the demand for the name... or how bad someone wants it.

A 4 letter .info that spells a name, would be the same, but may fetch a little less then a 3 letter would... but again... Brian dot info may fetch more then Tom.info just because "brian" stumbles upon this name, or is contacted and he happens to have more money.

In the end... Its you that decides the price... not any kind of market values. In this business there are too many variables to place pricing guidelines. Its all about what you are willing to accept, how much he is willing to pay, and how long you plan on sitting on your domain name.
