2 interested - that means auction!
$1,000 Minimum - but wait for the wise ones here to respond.

Rule 1 in $$$ Negotiation: Never be the first to put a number on the table.

You simply tell each of them that there are multiple bidders and that each should send its best offer to you in writing.

Have a bottom line and know what it is. Your 'potential buyers' have a bottom line.

Like DOD said, ask for offers. Not being first to show your hand is a good rule, but in domain name negotiations, I have found that there are often exceptions to this rule. Especially when dealing with domain name newbies.

Back to the original point; Have a bottom line and know what it is. Know inside what you would take. Then wait [ and hope ] for a response/s that is close to, equal to, or over your bottom line.

Also, don't go buying that new car until the deal is done. DotComster was prolly right about $1,000 minimum, but you never can tell. I seem to remember IndustrialResources.something? selling on AN several months ago for ummmmm, $45K?

Get a professional appraisal from EchoArts.com and email the appraisal to both interested parties. I would ask 25% over the appraisals CMV.

thanks for all the wonderful input!

i like the idea about having the appraisals done.

but i'm hesitant about direct phone contact, since i tend to be such a pushover. i'm thinking about posting the name at afternic (yes, afternic... i actually sold a name there once). maybe with an opening price of $1,000, with an asking price of $5,000 (instant sale).

please give me some advice on this approach!

thanks!
